A space to learn and enjoy

Children at our supplementary education centre

We conduct supplementary classes to 500 children in 10 locations where other organisations have not initiated such programmes. These centres act as a space for completing homework, learn their school lessons. The children also learn songs and play games under the guidance of teachers.

Our classes are open to all children including boys. These children are also part of the regular children’s camps organised by EKTA. We provide these children a work book on ‘Child Rights’ and a primer on ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’.

This activity serves to prevent dropouts and better performance in schools, issues of child sexual abuse and corporal punishments in schools. We have successfully addressed a few cases with the support of the community.
