EKTA  conducts Computer Literacy Programme and Tailoring courses for the adolescent girls to equip them with a job oriented skill and to develop a rights perspective. These students, apart from learning computer and tailoring skill are motivated to read news paper and discuss on social issues.

We started the Computer Literacy Programme in May 2005. The students at the Computer Class, apart from learning computer skills are motivated to learn handwork (flower vase ,bag making etc) The parents of these girls feel confident about the class as it is an ‘all women  Centre’. So far 14 batches, comprising of 149 students have been completed. On acquiring computer skills, 64 students have found employment in NGOs, business establishments and in private organisations.  32 girls have been motivated to pursue their higher secondary education.

Adolescent girls who had failed in the 10th and 12th were motivated to continue their studies. They were guided through special coaching classes.
